BBBrrrrrrrrr....., it is very cold here in Delmas tonight, and cannot wait to get into my warm bed and snuggle up with hubbie and the dogs. Some people say the Mexican hairless dogs act as hot-waterbottles for humans, and I must agree with them. having 2 little hot bodies lying at my feet do keep them warm.

So I include this picture of my 2 hot-water bottles recharging in front of the heater (Elvis and Jock)

Dogs camouflaged as water bottles

Biscotti is such a funny cookie. It is almost as if it cannot decide if it is a cookie, a biscuit, or a rusk. The name means "baled twice" in Italian - so it cannot even make up its mind if it needs to be baked or not, or baked more or less. all in all a very confused little Italian piece of baking.

The bit in the middle is melted chocolate

But I am not confused, because calmly and serenely I followed Martha Stewart's instructions tonight to make Chocolate-Pistachio Biscotti.

Just a note of caution - Pistachio nuts is the biggest part of the job, and takes the longest. And the outcome is so disappointing - look at all the shells and see my little cup of nuts!!

Tonight was my card-making night, and I did all 3 my card-making challenges in one go (while watching the swimming on TV). Again, I offer these for free to anyone interested. So far there are no takers, so I have decided against opening my own card shop. Will have to look for another source of income when I retire. (hie-hie-hie) The challenges were as follow.

http://papertakeweekly.blogspot.com/ - they gave me a sketch that looks like this,

and I made this

http://craftycatzweeklychallenge.blogspot.com/ wanted me to do something with glitter, so here goes:

And lastly, from http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/gallery/projects/challenges/current-challenges/ came a challenge to do a card with an overhang. How the hell you put this in an envelope I do not know. But my challenge is to not ask questions, but to just do.

Good night - lots of love and cookie hugs
Lizette
