So that is one reason why I have not finished my sewing challenge to do an olympic-inspired outfit. Just the idea of sweating in my pants are putting me off.
The second reason I did not finish this challenge is because the Olympic games inspired me so much - lying on the couch watching other people perform - it was brilliant.
But a challenge remains a challenge and I must make these horrible purple pants to sweat in. I might also be a bit fearful that if I make them I will have to use them. Like do something to make me sweat in them. But my promise to myself is to finish them this week and work up a bit of a sweat on Sunday for the photoshoot.
Talking about sewing, I have made a great start on my fat-clothes quilt, look how nice it is going to be.
I cannot wait to finish it and start cutting up the other fat clothes. By the way, I have lost 13 kg in 2 months, so have finally decided that carbs are from the devil!! Protein is my future - a very thin future I must add. And maybe a sweaty future as well - if I can finish those pants.
I also need to sew some outfits for my son David, he has no clothes left and if you have a good look at him performing with his band "Beloved" - his clothes are all torn and buggered up. Oh sorry - he is suppose to look like this on stage.
The problem is at work. So I am going to make him these matching outfits which he is going to hate but me and his boss will force him to wear. I think he is going to look real cute in them.He wanted everything black and white, but I got carried away with some colour and that is just the way it is. For now. I will make black sets later.
Cookies, cookies, cookies - too many to mention. let me give you a few recipe's tonight - ones that were really good!!!
Elephant Ear Cookies
Chocolate-oatmeal-raisin cookies
Peanutbutter-swirl Brownies
There is no photo of this one, as we ate it before I could even push the on-button on the camera
With my knitting it is also going well - busy making a baby outfit for a new expecting mom - and finished the hat this weekend (it does look like a pumpkin at this stage, but sure when it is pulled over the little one's head it will look more like a hat than a pumpkin)
